Client FAQs
Is Gravitii in my area?
Gravitii Technologies is currently operating in British Columbia. We started close to home in the Central Okanagan and the Greater Victoria regions and new care providers are signing on everyday across British Columbia. Please create an account or contact our team to confirm whether we serve your area.
How much does it cost?
Care providers on the Gravitii platform set their own rates so the cost will vary depending on which care provider you choose and what services they offer. The average hourly cost for home care in British Columbia is approximately $40/hour. Rates may be determined by demand, experience, or specialty qualifications. Gravitii encourages home care providers to offer competitive rates. In addition to the Provider’s fee, Gravitii charges a 10% service fee plus applicable taxes and Stripe charges a small service fee for processing payment. The total cost is visible to you before sending the booking request. Your credit card isn’t charged until a care provider confirms your booking and completes the services you requested.
How do I find a suitable care provider through Gravitii?
It’s easy! Sign up on our website, and we’ll match you with the right care providers based on your unique needs, location, and preferences. It’s free to sign up and view who is available to provide care in your area.
What types of home care services can I access through Gravitii?
Gravitii requires all care providers to be registered and in good standing with the BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry (cachwr.bc.ca) or the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory.
Health (Home) Care Aides, HCAs, learn a variety of skills to provide quality care to clients in a home setting. These skills typically cover the supportive aspects of medical and non-medical care. Read about it in our blog post here.
Provider FAQs
How much will I get paid?
Gravitii allows you to define your own rates. We encourage you to review the average rates that are charged for home care in the region that you are offering services to ensure that you remain competitive. In British Columbia, the average hourly cost for home care is approximately $40 per hour.
The services that you offer, your experience, and your specialized skills are some of the things that can help determine what rates you should charge. The Gravitii platform allows you to define multiple service rates that best match the services that you offer to your clients. Your rates are entirely up to you.
How can I become a care provider with Gravitii?
Becoming a care provider with Gravitii is easy. Simply visit our website, sign up to GIVE CARE, and our team will guide you through the onboarding process of setting up your profile.
How does the matching process work with clients?
Our platform uses a proprietary matching algorithm to connect you with clients based on care needs, location, availability, and preferences. Gravitii highlights matches that best meet these criteria but still allows the client to browse through the full list of care providers in their area. It’s designed for a personalized experience.
What are the qualifications required to join as a care provider?
Gravitii requires all care providers to be registered and in good standing with the BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry (cachwr.bc.ca) or the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory. Care providers will be asked to upload a copy of their confirmation letter during the sign-up process.
Gravitii has also integrated with CERTN, a background check platform, if you want to provide extra assurances to your clients. The background checks currently available include; a criminal record check, identity verification check, soft check and driver’s abstract can all be added to your profile. (NOTE: CERTN does charge a fee for these checks.)
Gravitii doesn’t currently require additional certification, however, the Gravitii platform allows you to upload additional documentation (e.g. Liability Insurance, WCB) and certifications that allow potential clients to confirm your qualifications. Additional qualifications such as, Food Safe, First Aid, or specialized training may be important depending on the services that are being offered.
